friday in florence

HI all from Florence…….

We are in Florence for our last day and night here and then its off to the small town of Pisa. It’s the 14th of July and only 5 more sleeps til we reach London.

Gabe should be or have had her operation by now which got delayed from yesterday. Our biggest thoughts and love are with her.

Well here in Florence we have found the best gelati shop called the gelataria La Carraia. Its so great were going to miss it when we leave. Florence is a lovely city like all the other main cities in Italy with lots of culture. The main things we have visited in Florence have been the Dumo, The Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi gallery and the main fancy shopping streets of Florence. (these are the photos on the blog)

We got to go shopping here in Florence and Rome which has been great lots of yummy food and we go a little crazy like buying kilos of biscuits and bread, it’s pretty funny and we don’t really know what we’re buying because our Italian isn’t great, we get what we think looks right he he.

Last night we had a picnic on one of the 3 main bridges in Florence drank Italian wine and watched the sun set it was really lovely and was a lovely part of our holiday made us feel like we were really on holiday.

Today were having a relaxing morning and then we will go back into the city to have a picnic either at the bridge again or at the pizzale of Michelangelo (Pizzale here means main plaza or square).

17 days of our holiday to go and its back to work for rob and job hunting for jus. Missing home like always and hoping the time rushes by between now and March. (Doms birthday, Najette and Nathan’s wedding, Kristy and Dan’s wedding AND HOME).
